WHAT IS MEAN STREETS?

Mean Streets started out as [and still is] the only Texas owned Import Emphasis car show. It was to be a memorial car show for all those who had perished in car accidents. That is why there is a Reaper skull in their logo. He symbolizes our friends [and all of us have one] that we know would be with us at the show if they had not been taken from us though a car accident. Those we loved who loved cars just as we do.

Since its birth in October of 2003, Mean Streets has grown to include all ranges of Domestic Muscle Cars, Trucks, Hot Rods, Sport Bikes, and Choppers too. Drifting exhibitions and competitions as well as motorcycle stunts are also synonymous with the show. Based in Austin, Texas; Mean Streets has turned from an underground cult type show into a well known event throughout the southwest. In 2008 Mean Streets will complete their 18th event. Its growth in size, recognition, and reputation is because of their catering to the needs of their sponsors and the grassroots connection to the cities in which they do their shows. Mean Streets has done events in Houston, Austin, Belton, and Killeen, and is quite comfortable just serving the needs of their Texas brothers. The other reason for the staggering growth of Mean Streets has to be their uncanny knowledge of what the people want to see, and their innovations in the car show industry. These milestones are almost always copied by other shows especially in Texas. Helicopter rides at car shows, drifting, judging innovations, the "show within a show" theme, themed model and entertainment exhibitions are just a few of the innovations Mean Streets has brought to the Texas car show arena.

This why they say MEAN STREETS.... ALWAYS IMITATED, but NEVER duplicated!
